Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1995. She is best known as an actor appearing on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004), and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film director who was born into a large family of both. She's taken on these two careers for herself. At nine years of age, Asia made her film debut with Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played her role as the main character in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), and also was one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, was her part in the role of Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) was the point at which Asia started to really become a household name. This helped her move from roles that were primarily young females to more sophisticated adult characters. Cannes International Film Festival was an enormous achievement for the film. For Trauma (1993) the actress made her debut with her father, famed Italian filmmaker Dario Argento (her mother is one of the most beloved actors of Argento, Daria Nicolodi, playing an obese girl on the lookout of her parents' killer. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she has acted in together with her father, her first two movies being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's absorbed and intense approach to acting was also utilized by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a nozze. Patrice Chereau was her director in Queen Margot the film, in which she played a prominent role. In 1995 she worked with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion , which again won her a David diDonatello as well as the Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia began the art of directing, and produced two short films: Prospettive In 1996, she produced a documentary about her father. In 1998, a film about the cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998), which received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a feature director in Scarlet Diva (2000). In the film, she was also the lead actress and wrote the screenplay. In May of 2000, the film premiered in Italy and around the globe. The film was awarded an award in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After the directing of several music videos she had Anna Lou. The actress starred alongside Jean-Marc Barre as Jean-Marc Barr in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she appeared with Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action-packed thriller. Asia also wrote some short stories which have been published by many magazines.
